The Reactivate skills-matching database has been developed as a tool to help employers in the health and social services sector to make contact with baby-boomers open to working in the sector.
For baby boomers, the attractions of working for not-for-profit organisations we can use to recruit include:
- Flexible/seasonal (e.g. grey nomads) work schedules are negotiable
- Salary packaging opportunities are generally available and to a greater degree than in other sectors
- Opportunities to ‘give back’ in a social sense
